Sales Engineer Opportunity
INFINITEK are happy to announce a new role working with one of our leading clients, a business with over 50 years' experience working in the Electronics Sector.
This Sales Engineer role is responsible for leading the strategic sales direction, management, support, communication and interaction for all activities in the defined Mid-South territory spanning from Minnesota to Texas. The ideal candidate will provide customers with design-in support, design and process requirements, and value engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meeting performance goals to align with the strategic business objectives, including sales, new business opportunities and design wins
- Increasing sales in accordance with the corporate growth strategy
- Driving and measuring results to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for orders and shipments
- Finding and developing new opportunities and designs consistent with the company's objectives
- Creating awareness of the company brand throughout the territory and customer base
- Developing strategic plans for account penetration within the respective territory
- Establishing and maintaining high-level relationships with significant and strategic customers
- Driving the consistent and appropriate utilization of CRM for all opportunities and leads
- Understanding the commercial impact of all opportunities and helping coordinate appropriate resources
- Conducting quarterly business reviews with internal stakeholders
- Analyzing and defining the target accounts for the company's growth and vitality
- Developing a knowledge base for significant customers including new lead generation, relationship/organizational maps, program lists, program applications and product ship-set information
- Providing information on territorial trends: competition, major opportunities, major programs and product line demand
- Driving opportunities to Design Win in alignment with company objectives and goals
- Providing pre-sales application support to customers, internal departments, and sales teams
- Gathering and analyzing competitive information to ensure product offerings continue to meet customer needs and competitive positioning
- Coordinating with marketing and engineering on priority setting for new development opportunities
- Working with internal stakeholders on customer-specific pricing, contract negotiation and review
- Assisting in providing monthly, quarterly and annual bookings/sales forecasts and budgeting
- Contributing to sales tools for customer meetings and product launches
- Traveling to participate in industry events, meet with customers, conduct business and technical reviews, presentations and support closure of opportunities
- Facilitating ongoing product trainings for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- Field sales, marketing, or sales management experience
- Key/Strategic Account Management expertise
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Persuasive with ability to adapt approaches for various situations
- Strong technical knowledge and communication skills
- Strong team player and collaborative worker
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Travel: 50%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
