The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa an Iconic historic resort on Tampa Bay with 30,000 sf of convention and catering space is searching for a Catering Sales Manager for our friendly independent hotel to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Job Description:

The primary function of the Catering Sales Manager is to develop and Implement innovative sales strategies which will effectively increase catering revenues and corresponding food and beverage profits for the resort.

This job is vested with responsibility for developing effective catering techniques and professional service standards in building incremental catering revenue - including the management and administration of our meeting space.

The Catering Sales Manager will function as a Service Manager for all social events.


Job duties:

  • Functions in the capacity of a Catering Sales Manager at the resort as instructed by the Director of Catering.
  • Sells resort's banquet facilities through personal discussions, telephone solicitations, sales calls and correspondence with former and prospective clients.
  • Generates new business by telephone solicitation, promotional activities, and other related marketing initiatives.
  • Prepares menus, proposals and complete catering arrangements for social functions, including all accessories provided by the resort.
  • Responsible for providing accurate details to the Banquet Department to ensure successful client programs.
  • Responsible for obtaining all information pertaining to the function
  • Conduct site inspections at the resort for all social market events.
  • Prepare and maintain BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) making sure all information is correct before it is distributed.

Requirements:

  • Previous hotel sales experience REQUIRED.
  • High School Diploma and/or Four year Business/Marketing College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
  • Strong desire to achieve bottom-line results a must.
  • Experience using SalesForce, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays.
