Job Summary
At Families Matter, we care deeply about our relationship with the community, both internal and external. We are seeking a Community Relationship Compliance Manager to work in conjunction with the Community Relationship Manager to sustain positive relationships with community members, nonprofit organizations, and employees to cultivate a favorable operating climate for the organization. This position will ensure compliance of vendors and participants in accordance with rules and regulations established for the Families Matter AFIRM program.
This position will also serve as a liaison for the organization, often speaking internally and publicly – delivering the company’s mission and vision within the local community.
Objectives of this Role
- Serve as a key point of contact initiating relationships and support opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with members of the community, key individuals, and other organizations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for neighboring organizations and communities.
- Ensure compliance of vendors and participants for the Families Matter AFIRM program.
- Be the principal liaison for the organization, with responsibilities for delivering the company’s mission and vision within the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze contracts and MOUs to understand terms and conditions and special provisions of the contract or MOU.
- Conduct briefing sessions with relevant staff to answer questions and explain various compliance policies and procedures with regard to the AFIRM program.
- Monitor compliance of vendors and participants for adherence to rules and regulations state forth in the AFIRM contract. Document any violations and prepare reports for management outlining solutions to mitigate any violations found.
- Maintain the accuracy of internal compliance logs and databases.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees, vendors, and participants with questions or concerns regarding our compliance policies for the AFIRM program.
- Assess the efficiency of internal procedures to constantly improve vendor and participant compliance with the rules and regulations of the AFIRM program.
- Detect, analyze, and report compliance concerns and irregularities to prevent violations, abuse, or fraud by vendors or participants.
- Keep track of complaints to address compliance problems promptly.
- Document the company’s compliance activities to provide proof the company complies with laws and regulations.
- Assist the Community Relationship Manager with establishing the goals and agreements with potential vendors.
- Conduct a pre- and post- survey with participants on the services provided.
- Verifying completion of all services provided by vendors.
- Assist in the verification of vendors’ credentials.
- Assist in managing partner referrals.
- Monitor, coordinate, and attend monthly partner meetings.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend AFIRM recruiting events.
- Monitor and respond accordingly to electronic communication
- Other duties as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with both individuals and organizations.
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well individually as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.
- Ability to organize groups of people for events and initiatives.
- Ability to travel locally 60% to 80% of work schedule.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Self-starter
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, English, fundraising, journalism, or a similar related field
- 5 to 8 years of experience in community and public relations or related field
- Courses in advertising, business administration, public affairs, public speaking, and creative and technical writing can also be helpful.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related writing and presentation software

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
