Job Summary:
This position requires the Director of Sales to be an experienced HVAC Controls sales leader in the Richmond Metro region. You will be responsible to driving growth and creating winning sales strategies. The ideal candidate must be able to manage, coach, and motivate a sales team to meet, if not exceed, annual goals, and have a proven history of navigating in a complex selling environment. Essential Duties:
- Coach & motivate a sales team to reach their potential
- Maintain the integrity of the sales process
- Build account executive sales plans
- Hire and retain sales executives that exceed their personal sales plans
- Coach staff on the methodologies for performing research to qualify and develop their sales strategies
- Accurately forecast short-term & long-term sales
- Demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse set of business unit leaders
- Deliver business results by improving the performance of the team in overall sales and gross profit generation. Assess market potential and identify opportunities for new business and increased penetration in target markets.
- Track and analyze sales data based on key metrics and market data. Develop and implement KPIs to measure and optimize performance.
- Rapidly expand market-share by collaborating with internal Owner Direct Service Sales, Equipment Sales Engineers, and Comprehensive Special Projects Group.
- Develop specific channel strategies for Owner Direct, Contractor, and Consulting Engineer customers.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, implementing corrective action, and engaging positive communication.
- Develop and implement new sales processes and procedures as needed to ensure success.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field and/or a combination of five years of experience in sales leadership in the HVAC industry preferred.
- 5+ years of Sales Management experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Building Automation and Owner Direct sales.
- Strong planning, delegating, negotiating, analytical and forecasting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet competing deadlines.
- Excellent customer relations and presentation skills.
- Must have basic PC experience in Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
