DESCRIPTION
Our key account managers are tasked with the creative and challenging responsibility of initiating and maintaining relationships within a Fortune 500 customer base to identify, consult, and ultimately execute large tooling and automation projects. The work is diverse and offers an opportunity to combine technologies across Invio’s entire suite of Industry 4.0 solutions. Typically, most of the work week is spent at factories engaging with existing and potential customers. The remainder of the work week is spent collaborating with Invio’s in-house design, subject-matter experts, and estimating teams on proposals, product development roadmaps, and other strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage a demonstrated track record of success selling assembly tooling and automation to General Motors and Toyota to:
- Lead strategic supplier relationships in accounts cultivated for decades and convert open opportunities to sales.
- Translate existing personal relationships with GM and Toyota into the new role and towards the sales goal.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales function serving GM. Sales experience with Toyota is a plus.
- Help clarify project scopes and assist the customer in their business case development.
- Serve as the “voice of the customer” within Invio to ensure that delivery quality and project timelines are delivered to the highest caliber.
- Bolster the Invio Automation brand as the preferred partner for ergonomic tooling in the GA environment while also opening new avenues for sales within the body shop, powertrain, and paint operations.
- Grow the variety of solutions that are sold to these accounts to better reflect Invio’s broad capabilities including AGVs, door carriers, vision systems, robot cells, and sub-assembly lines.
- Establish an in-plant cadence for regular face-to-face interactions at each of the major production centers and in consideration of upcoming vehicle launches.
- Possess an ability to work collaboratively and at a technical level with in-house resources in an effort to create creative and cost-optimal customer proposals.
- Drive marketing and contribute to the development of best-in-class presentations, videos, and other digital content that’s compelling to the automotive OEM customer.
- Work with our services group to ensure long-term client success by understanding their service and support needs and providing corresponding service offerings.
- Strong understanding and adherence to sales performance metrics and KPIs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive, and positive. Having a passion for exceptional customer service and support is a must. Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with human resources is a requisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of our internal and external customers.

EDUCATION
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Sales, Business, Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
