Led by one of the most successful and innovative owners in motorsports, Chip Ganassi Racing has won 22 championships dating back to 1990. In addition, 2016 saw the team pick up their first-ever victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Overall, Ganassi has won six of the seven most iconic races in the world of auto racing with wins in the Indianapolis 500 (5 times), Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 At Daytona (8), and the 12 Hours of Sebring (2).
On the business side, CGR had one of the longest-running relationships in motorsports history with Target and currently can claim partnerships with PNC Bank, American Legion, Parkland, DHL, Honda, and General Motors, among many others. Today, Ganassi teams include three Honda cars in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, one Cadillac in the IMSA series, and one Cadillac in the WEC series. Ganassi boasts state-of-the-art facilities in Indianapolis, where INDYCAR, IMSA, and WEC are located, and a corporate office in Pittsburgh.
This position is responsible for the strategy and execution of sponsorship programs and providing world class service toward partners of Chip Ganassi Racing. This includes a focus on the day-to-day management of partner relationships and partnership programs, content creation and promotion, event support, measurement and reporting, and partner retention and growth. This person should be the CGR internal expert on their partners.

- Serve as day-to-day point of contact for partners (accounts as assigned), manage communication internally and externally, develop and deepen relationships to maintain and grow partnerships
- Be the subject matter expert for assigned partnership accounts; understand their business, marketing goals/objectives, sponsorship program, competitors, and industry trends

Ensure assets are delivered and partners receive optimal sponsorship value:
- Create agendas and manage weekly or recurring calls/meetings
- Hold brainstorm sessions to identify opportunities to maximize and grow partnership
- Track all support and added value, and assets as outlined in contracts

Collaborate with internal departments such as Public Relations, Social Media, Graphic Design, Events, Competition, etc., to help coordinate:
- PR support and media coverage
- Social media campaign development and execution
- Creation and approval of branding elements
- Production days and other opportunities to create and promote content
- On-site and virtual events

Provide on-site support at select race weekends and events, including but not limited to providing:
- Critical time with partners during the race weekend (e.g. spend extended time in hospitality suites, attend partner dinners, escort to Victory Lane)
- Race weekend itineraries, schedules and logistics, as needed
- Effective communication with the series, agencies, and vendors
- Top-quality hospitality and race weekend experiences
- Introductions/meetings with appropriate CGR team leadership, other partners, etc.
- Develop and maintain ways to measure and report on sponsorship programs; understand sponsorship valuation and other measurement tools (e.g. Nielsen, Sprout Social, Meltwater)
- Track the team’s partnership inventory and collaborate with the New Business team to ensure potential partners are receiving the most customized opportunity
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed, which could include support for Public Relations or Social Media, budgeting/accounting, agency management, employee events, etc.
- Build and maintain relationships at sanctioning bodies and race tracks

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in marketing, PR, communication, business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in account management or marketing required; sports marketing or corporate/brand management experience is preferred
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, ability to articulate well and deliver presentations to c-suite executives
- Positive attitude, high energy level with a commitment to success
- Professional presence, persuasiveness
- Drive, maturity, self-motivation and the ability to function as a member of the team
- Assertiveness with strong self-esteem and self-confidence, ability to interact with/provide counsel to partners, executives
- Understanding of business/marketing goals and objectives, strategy and tactics; strong analytical skills
- Track record of building relationships with clients, executives, and colleagues
