About the Role

As a Sales Specialist at Shuert Technologies, you’ll be the crucial link between our customers and our internal teams, handling product selection, quoting, order fulfillment and support. The ideal candidate will be an engaging and quick learner, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is paramount in meeting our customers' high expectations. If you're a self-motivated professional with customer service or sales experience in a manufacturing or engineering company, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport with customers and ensure smooth interactions, addressing a wide range of inquiries and needs promptly. Apply your experience and newfound knowledge of plastic products and solutions to meet customer needs, identify prospecting approaches, and create opportunities to sell solutions and ideas to customers.
  • Receive, investigate, and respond to customer inquiries, addressing questions about our products, services, and other issues. Recommend suitable solutions, and employ active listening skills to present alternative options to customers.
  • Resolve customer service inquiries and issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This may include producing quotes, providing details for shipments, working with our Engineering department to provide drawings to our customers, or partnering with our Shipping department to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Implement strategies and techniques to ensure a positive customer experience at every touchpoint with the organization, enhancing overall customer satisfaction. Apply effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs accurately.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects or activities, making effective judgments in prioritizing and allocating time. This includes following up with customers, managing vendors and supporting internal teams.
  • Document customer interactions thoroughly and accurately to minimize customer effort or the need for additional action. Emphasize accuracy and attention to detail in processing information, recognizing the necessity and value of precision.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service or inside sales, preferably in areas such as engineering or manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math and the ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Applications

This role is 100% on-site at our offices in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
