Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Our company continues to experience significant growth. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior leader who obsesses about their customers, excels at empowering and building an effective sales organization and is committed to enabling the clean energy transition. As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, you will lead and develop a highly motivated and skilled business development team which includes sales, customer success, revenue operations and marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop/execute a sales strategy to grow our company's revenues across all lines of business in North America.
  • Attract and develop top business development talent.
  • Highly disciplined, organized and metrics-driven approach to managing and reporting on sales performance.
  • Establish annual business development budgets, sales targets, and strategic plans.
  • Actively identify and implement growth opportunities.
  • Develop new and iterate existing products by engaging with customers, with an eye on the competitive environment, market conditions and the ability to scale.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team and provide input on overall business direction, foster a positive work culture, and strong collaboration with other functional leaders.
  • Continuous learning and thought leadership while participating in industry events and organizations.



Skills and Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of successful sales leadership experience, having managed sales and marketing professionals.
  • A balance of strategic vision and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • Demonstrated record of meeting and exceeding yearly sales team targets.
  • Strong understanding of North American electricity markets and the energy services sector (specifically demand response, distributed energy resources, and software/energy as a service).
  • Post-secondary degree.
  • Ability to deliver on short-term targets, while implementing a long-range strategy and vision.
  • Powerful verbal and written communication skills utilizing various medium.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Product development leadership by developing scalable solutions and innovative business models.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to business development with a positive “let's figure it out” attitude and a desire to succeed.
  • Strong C-Level presence, strategic acumen, consultative selling skills and executive credibility.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US and Canada.
