Universal Business Team is assisting a family-owned manufacturer that specializes in luxury bathroom towel warmers and other bathroom accessories fill the role of an Area Sales Manager. They are progressive leaders in North America and continue to expand at an exponential rate. They are a growing company that is looking for enthusiastic professionals to join their team and contribute to their expansion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record building a new territory, opening new accounts, managing existing accounts and closing deals with showrooms and experience in the decorative industry.

Purpose of the Role

To establish and grow their dealer base in Oregon and establish the brand as the dominant leader in our markets within the area. To acquire new dealers in other regions in North America if and when they are added to your portfolio.

To build and grow a superior presence in the regions that beats the competition and positions them as the superior supplier in service and quality. To ensure all new products are quickly and successfully launched into all existing customers. To deliver on the company’s vision – to become the favorite vendor of discerning bathroom showrooms throughout North America.

Accountabilities & Measures

Accountability 1: Account manage and grow their dealer base in Oregon

Measure for Performance : Consistent sales growth in accordance to company sales targets regular planned dealers visits to:

  • Gain visibility and identify problems and competitive threats, deliver new brochures, price lists, etc
  • Organize dealer training initiatives
  • Ensure their displays are installed and presented properly, and that their real-estate in the showroom is maximized
  • New product introductions, stock orders and display deals including installations
  • Accurate reporting on all sales visits with detailed notes and action items – follow up tasks completed promptly
  • High scores on service from customers on company surveys
  • High quality negotiations with upper level management that yield profitable deals

· Progressing dealer leads through the sales cycle in the pipeline - set up new dealers in the region, until the their dealer base is complete, and displays/accounts are set up in every showroom that they want to partner with

· New dealers are then account managed to grow sales as quickly as possible

· F2F with customers 4 out of 5 days / week

· CRM always accurate and up to date

· KPIs consistently reported on, and are achieved or outperformed

Accountability 2: Grow the brand presence with pull through sales

Measure for Performance :

· Frequent visits and sales presentations to designers, architects, home builders etc to create pull through sales to the dealer base and generate and close whale opportunities

· Work with inside sales team and be available for when any F2F presence is needed

Accountability 3: New business development in other regions in USA as needed

Measure for Performance :

· Progressing dealers leads through the sales cycle in the pipeline

Accountability 4: Product & Market Feedback

Measure for Performance :

· Provide feedback to the R&D team on product and market development

· Participate in new product feedback campaigns and customer surveys

Essential Skills:

  • Embrace their mission, vision and values
  • Excellent ability to communicate, negotiate, and influence upper level management/decision makers, as well as with showroom consultants / designers
  • Able to build fast relationships with the team at each dealer, to win them round and make them their “go to” line to sell
  • Excellent business sense - understands profit and loss, expenses, business dealings, sales and showroom mentality
  • Previous success and sales experience in aggressive growth situations for a wholesaler or manufacturing / distribution – ability to identify and close whales
  • Diligent and hard-working, organized and methodical
  • Trustworthy, confidential and loyal
  • Loves travelling
  • Can work remotely from home with same discipline and focus, and can utilize the head office team efficiently to run the regions
  • Money motivated, but with customer service focus
  • Humble, hungry and a killer team player – easy to work with

Required Training & Experience

  • Will train in our products and services
  • Will train in our CRM, ERP system and other software used within the company
  • Must have previous sales experience, both phone and F2F, with a proven track record of opening new accounts and managing / growing existing accounts
  • Must understand the dealer sales model and the value of pull through business

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
