Location: Vaughan, Ontario (Remote work a consideration after training period)
Position Type: Full-Time (30-40% of the time travelling across USA/Canada)

Job Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Engineer to join their
sales team. The ideal candidate will be or become a technical expert with all of their tools, and they will be
responsible for providing technical support throughout the sales process. Responsibilities will include sales
demonstrations, training end users and distributors, supporting customers with technical queries, facilitating
educational seminars, and supporting marketing initiatives. Additionally, the Technical Sales Engineer will
play a key role supporting the sales and engineering teams in the product development process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrations and Trainings with Distributors:
Travel with distributors to conduct trainings and demonstrations of tools for end users,
ensuring they are equipped to effectively promote and sell the company products.
Provide technical support and assistance to distributors during customer demonstrations
and training sessions.
2. Product Training:
Conduct comprehensive training sessions for end users to ensure they have a thorough
understanding of tools and how to operate them safely.
Provide training to distributors to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to
effectively promote and sell the company products.
3. Educational Seminars and Support Marketing Initiatives:
Develop and deliver training videos and seminars to support education and marketing
initiatives, showcasing the features, benefits, and applications of the company products.
Collaborate with the sales & marketing team to create educational materials and
promotional content to enhance product awareness and drive sales.
4. Product Development Support:
Act as a liaison between the sales and engineering teams, providing valuable feedback
from customers to inform product development initiatives.
Work closely with the engineering team to identify areas for product improvement and
innovation based on customer feedback and market trends.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors, serving as a
trusted technical advisor and point of contact.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and technical issues in a timely and professional
manner to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably, within the Natural Gas or Waterworks industry.
Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of the Natural Gas or Waterworks industry, its technical
products, services, or solutions, and their application is preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex
technical information to diverse audiences.
A customer-focused mindset with the ability to address customer needs effectively by diagnosing
and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the United States to customer sites and
distributor locations on a regular basis.
Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with industry trends and developments.
Experience in developing and delivering training programs and educational materials.
Certifications such as PMP, LEED, or industry-specific credentials are a plus.
