ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
Founded in 2019, the Metiri Group (www.metirigroup.com) is an emerging, fast growing environmental testing laboratory group. With operations currently in California, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, Metiri’s objective is to provide full-service environmental laboratory services and solutions with the highest caliber service experience.
Our business is primed for rapid growth and we’re looking for a National Account Manager to join our dynamic and growing team.
This role is responsible for driving sales growth and managing key accounts at a national level. This role requires developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a national sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and threats to the company’s growth.
- Set sales targets, forecast revenue, and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
- Prospect and qualify leads via phone, email, research, conferences, trade shows, web inquiries and other prospecting tools and avenues.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with major clients.
- Schedule and coordinate sales appointments with prospects and clients, such as special events, lunch and learns, lab tours, onsite meetings, etc.
- Represent and act as a brand ambassador for Metiri at conferences, trade shows and online.
- Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and pricing with key clients to secure long-term partnerships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors or regions.
- Collaborate with the marketing and subject matter experts to create value propositions, sales campaigns for new products or services, blog posts, webinars, presentations, white papers, etc
- Conduct market research to identify new potential clients and sectors for expansion.
- Stay abreast of current industry trends and regulatory updates.
- Proactively and consistently engage in sales administrative activities such as reporting, sales forecasts, analytics, and maintenance of client data and tasks utilizing our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Resolve customer issues or complaints efficiently and effectively, maintaining a high standard of service.
- Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Coordinate efforts between national and regional sales teams to align goals and ensure consistent messaging.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and recommendations to senior management.
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and market conditions to adjust strategies as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Proven experience (10+ years) as a National Sales Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager or in a senior sales role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Self-motivated with exceptional time management skills and capable of excelling in remote or hybrid work environments.
