Manager, Inside Sales

Under the direction of the Director, Season Ticket Sales, Retention and Service, primary responsibilities include hiring, training, and developing new/seasonal sales staff with the focus of generating, maintaining and increasing Season Ticket, Group and Single Game Ticket Sales for the New York Yankees and other events held at Yankee Stadium. Manage a sales team required to provide extensive customer service and continual development of relationships with customers. Possess the ability to recognize “A” players as employees and acts as a mentor by developing others professional and personal skills. Seeks to motivate, develop, and retain staff for future succession and opportunity within the Yankees organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train and develop the Inside Sales, Junior Sales, Winter Sales and Summer Sales representatives, with the focus of generating, maintaining and increasing ticket sales for the New York Yankees and non-baseball events held at Yankees Stadium
- Lead, motivate, develop, and retain Inside Sales staff for future succession and opportunity within the organization; provide qualified internal candidates for senior level openings; specifically in Season Ticket Sales and Group Sales
- Monitor, manage and evaluate sales staff performance on an ongoing basis; establish and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals and follow up with sales staff with appropriate feedback and direction for development
- Hold weekly team meetings along with individual one-on-one meetings and training sessions
- Develop, present and communicate Inside Sales strategies, procedures and processes
- Identify, explore and research new sales opportunities to include season ticket and group sales target markets
- Hold sales representatives accountable; meeting daily and weekly activity calls (calls, appointments, prospecting, etc)
- Continue to develop the Inside Sales program in the following areas: new business generation, sales leadership, recruiting efforts, development of sales strategies, sales training, development of best sales practices and results tracking and reporting
- Participate in game day ticketing or customer service duties; always representing the organization and brand in a positive matter
- Manage the working hours of the Inside Sales Team for game and non-game workdays
- Track and report daily and weekly sales figures to the ticket sales leadership team.
- Attend, contribute and participate in weekly Sales Department meetings as well as a weekly meeting with the ticket sales leadership team
- Assist the ticket sales leadership team with the creation, planning, communication, and implementation of special projects, promotions and programs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ticketmaster System
- CRM Dynamics, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field preferred
- 5 years direct selling experience working within a professional sports team/organization required
- 1-2 years of management experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic and desire to succeed in a sales environment
- Must be able to communicate well across all lines of the organization and be comfortable in a training and development capacity
Working Conditions:
- Office environment
- Required to work long hours (in excess of 12 hours/day on weekday game days
- Required to work all game days
- Ability to perform under pressure during both phone and face-to-face encounters with fans
- Ability to periodically travel to outside meetings to make presentations

The base annual salary for this position is $80,000 + commission. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
