Reports to: Director of Sales and Marketing + General Maanger
WhirlyBall is seeking a superstar Event Sales Manager to join our sales team based out of Naperville, IL. We are a fun, young, fast-growing company, on a path to growth.

The entertainment mecca features two famed WhirlyBall courts. The namesake activity, open to all skill levels, can be described as a combination of lacrosse and bumper cars played by two teams of five. The fun doesn’t stop at WhirlyBall as the space houses a two story LaserTag arena, along with twelve bowling lanes with lane-side service, and a variety of pop up games like Ping Pong, Giant Jenga, Bags, and Four Square.
To round out the experience, the thoughtfully-crafted food and beverage program features a chef inspired menu, rotating craft beer selection and seasonal cocktails. Private and semi-private event spaces are also available to accommodate groups of all sizes making WhirlyBall the perfect gathering place for friends, company outings, networking events and more.
Responsibilities:
· Manage sales and events for the WhirlyBall location in Naperville, IL
· Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop an aggressive outside sales campaign
· Consistently prospect potential WhirlyBall clients through various sales techniques
· Accurately track financial growth from outbound sales efforts
· Enhance and grow WhirlyBall's client database through constant and consistent communication to potential clients both in and outbound
· Establish and build strategic relationships with key partners and clients
· Actively participate in community organizations while attending key hospitality trade shows and sales expos
· Handling group inquiries via telephone and email with adequate response time
· Capture client information and schedule reservations in event database
· Communicate all required and relevant event information to clients
· Confirm necessary contract transactions
· Follow-up of proposals, phone calls, inquiries
· Provide tours of event space(s) to potential clients as needed
· Effectively communicate all event details to location management and staff
Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum 3+ years of sales experience, preferably as a supervisor or manager in a hospitality setting
· Experience in selling in SMERF and to corporate markets
· Ability to learn and bring "out of the box" ideas to the team
· Genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for sales
· Ability to effectively pitch and present information in one-on-one and group situations customers, clients, partners and other employees of the organization
· Must possess strong communication and listening skills
· Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
· Strong organizational, presentation and priority setting skills
· Ability to work independently while ensuring that management and/or clients possess the pertinent information for the execution of a successful event
· Presentation of a professional image to guests, clients, colleagues and potential function coordinators
· Self-motivated and possesses the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to multi-task
· High level of business acumen and common sense
· Bachelor's Degree strongly encouraged
