Sommaire du poste :
Sous la supervision du Business Unit Manager, vous serez responsable du support technique de l'un des plus grands comptes clés d'OPAL-RT. Ce grand compte possède plus de 25 bancs d'essai Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) OPAL-RT, et ceux-ci sont régulièrement mis à jour. Il y a constamment des demandes et des achats associés à l'intégration de nouveaux composants matériels, de nouveaux firmwares et de nouvelles versions de logiciels. Vous accompagnerez les différentes parties prenantes et les ingénieurs du compte clé afin d'entretenir tous les bancs, de travailler sur les mises à niveau du matériel, de construire et de tester des firmwares, de développer des modèles et des scripts de test, de travailler sur l'agencement et le câblage des armoires et de former les nouveaux arrivants.
Avec l'aide du responsable du compte, vous serez également chargé de recueillir de nouvelles exigences, de présenter et de promouvoir les nouvelles solutions à venir et de représenter OPAL-RT au sein du compte clé. Les ingénieurs d'application actuels d'OPAL-RT se consacrent à plusieurs comptes à la fois, et il s'agit du premier poste qui sera exclusivement consacré à un seul compte. Vous serez donc autonome, orienté vers les résultats, capable de gérer vos priorités et désireux de développer des relations durables en externe et en interne.
Lieu de travail
Le candidat idéal sera situé à Montréal, au siège social d'OPAL-RT. Des déplacements fréquents sur le site principal du grand compte sont à prévoir : Peoria, IL. Des déplacements ponctuels sur des sites à l'étranger (Peterborough (Royaume-Uni), Bangalore et Chennai (Inde)) sont possibles). Un passeport valide est requis.. Un passeport valide est requis.
Principales Responsabilités :
Support client à distance et sur site + formation sur les solutions matérielles/firmware/logicielles d'OPAL-RT ;
Installation et mise à niveau des systèmes OPAL-RT nouveaux/existants
Agir en tant que principal point de contact technique pour les parties prenantes et les ingénieurs des comptes clés
Gestion de projet et processus interne de R&D associés au compte clé ;A l'occasion, effectuer des tests d'acceptation en usine (FAT) avant les livraisons. Gérer les RMA ;
Avec l'aide du responsable du compte, promouvoir et présenter les solutions OPAL-RT nouvelles et existantes à différents groupes au sein du compte clé ;
Effectuer des démonstrations de produits.
Exigences
Scolarité : Licence ou maîtrise en ingénierie. Préférence pour l'électricité, l'informatique ou la mécanique.
Expérience : 2 à 5 ans dans un rôle d'ingénieur technique.
Compétences techniques : Hardware-in-the-loop ou prototypage rapide de contrôle (OPAL-RT, dSPACE, NI, etc.), simulation en temps réel ou hors ligne (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, etc.), automatisation des tests (Python, etc.).
Applications : Système de gestion de batterie (BMS), entraînements électriques / machines électriques (PM, IM, SRM, etc.), électronique de puissance, micro-réseaux et systèmes d'alimentation.
Compétences linguistiques : Anglais requis, deuxième ou troisième langue un avantage
Compétences recherchées : Curiosité intellectuelle et flexibilité ; Très bonnes compétences interpersonnelles, Esprit d'analyse et perspective face à des problèmes techniques complexes ; Expérience du travail sous pression chez des clients
Atouts : Expérience dans le soutien d'outils logiciels/matériels dans des environnements de test.

Position Summary :
Under the supervision of the Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for supporting technically one of the largest OPAL-RT key account. This key account owns more than 25 OPAL-RT hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test benches, and those are regularly upgraded. There are constant requests and purchases associated with integrating new hardware components, new firmwares and new software releases. You will accompany the different stakeholders and engineers of the key account so to service all benches, work on hardware upgrades, build+test firmwares, develop models & test scripts, work on cabinet layout / wiring and train newcomers.
With the help of the account manager, you will also be responsible for gathering new requirements, for presenting & promoting new upcoming solutions, and for representing OPAL-RT within the key account. Current application engineers at OPAL-RT are dedicated to multiple accounts at the same time, and this is the first position which will be solely dedicated to a single account. You will therefore be autonomous, self-driven, results-driven, able to manage your priorities and willing to develop long-lasting relationships externally and internally.
Work Location :
The ideal candidate will be based in Montreal, at OPAL-RT's head office. Frequent travel to the key account's main site is expected: Peoria, IL. Your main responsibilities :
Customer support remote and on-site + training on OPAL-RT hardware/firmware/software solutions;
Installation and upgrade of new/existing OPAL-RT systems;
Act as the main technical point of contact for the key account stakeholders and engineers;
Project management and internal R&D process associated with the key account;
On occasion, perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) prior to deliveries. Manage RMAs;
With the help of the account manager, promote and present new and existing OPAL-RT solutions to different groups within the key account;
Conduct product demonstrations.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering. Preference for electrical, computer science or mechanical.
Experience: 2 to 5 years in a technical engineering role
Technical skills: Hardware-in-the-loop or rapid control prototyping (OPAL-RT, dSPACE, NI, etc), real-time or offline simulation (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW etc), test automation (Python, etc)Battery management system (BMS), electric drives / electric machines (PM, IM, SRM, etc), power electronics, microgrids and power systems
Language abilities: English required, second or third language an advantage
Soft skills : Intellectual curiosity and flexibility; Very good interpersonal skills, Analytical mind and perspective when faced with complex technical problems; Experience working under pressure at customers sites, Experience in supporting software/hardware tools in testing environments
Assets: Experience in supporting software/hardware tools in test environments.
