BG-Graspointner, a leader in stormwater solutions, is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer. Our North American hub is located in Montreal, Canada, where we lead all our business activities. Partnerships with prominent drainage market leaders mainly drive our sales activities. Our goal is to grow our North American organization by developing a Montreal hub while putting more focus and resources into supporting and significantly expanding our position in the market.

Our North American team is multicultural, experienced, and diverse. We have over 60+ years of knowledge and experience in the water management industry worldwide.

One of our fundamental keys to success is driving product specification through engineers and architects and growing a pipeline of projects. Getting our products on project plans is essential for our growth and identifying competitive project conversions to our product solutions. A Technical Sales Engineer works to identify these opportunities and works to navigate our solutions into the project through the sales cycle from project design to installation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to talk to customers and communicate in a technical and professional manner.
  • Ability to build relationships with the Engineering and Architectural community.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and engineers’ civil construction plans.
  • Advance experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience or understanding of working with a CRM Sales platform and an ERP (SAP)
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on important tasks and initiatives.
  • Construction Industry & stormwater management knowledge experience is an advantage.
  • Professional presentation, and clear and concise verbal/written communication skills required.
  • English fluency
  • Self-motivated individual able to work remotely if needed (hybrid)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Technical Sales Engineer shall be responsible (but not limited) to the following:

  • Identify new specifier customers and build lasting relationships
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain company products or services to prospective specifiers
  • Collaborate with other engineers & architects to evaluate their needs for equipment, resources, and tools that support their projects
  • Identify project opportunities and nurture these through all phases of the projects
  • Plan and modify technical solutions to meet customer needs
  • Assist clients in solving problems and troubleshooting issues with installed equipment
  • Populate and manage customer CRM database
  • Grow, populate and manage project sales pipelines
  • Convert leads into sales to meet agreed upon project sales targets
  • Gather and maintain intelligence on competitors’ activities, pricing, and product range.
  • Be accountable for performance based on defined tasks and sales objectives.
  • Attending trade shows and professional conferences including on site responsibility for setup
  • Educational tasks
  • Schedule and perform physical and virtual Lunch & Learns
  • Develop, plan and perform Webinars
  • Develop and produce educational video clips

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
