The Demo Engineer at Staffbase will play a critical role in enhancing our platform's value proposition and elevating the quality of customer engagements through world-class demos. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Demo Engineer to join our dynamic pre-sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative and customized product demos, working closely with Sales Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Design teams to meet the unique needs of Staffbase's global customer base.

Important: This is a hybrid role. Core in-office days in our Minneapolis-Saint Paul co-working space are Tuesdays-Thursdays, and it is expected that team members will be in the office at least 2 days per week during core days.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with the Sales team to understand and address the unique needs of our key markets (North America, EMEA, APJ).
- Regularly update and improve our demo toolkit (apps, tools, slides, scripts) to ensure a world-class user experience.
- Provide specific and constructive feedback to Sales Engineers, enhancing demo quality across the board.
- Conduct market research to identify new product features and tools that would improve the overall Sales and Sales Engineering efficiency.
- Lead internal, partner, and prospect conversations around solution architecture, addressing data manipulation, user identity management, API framework, and performance considerations.
- Support prospect calls and assist the Sales Engineering team with delivering product demonstrations when needed.
- Stay up-to-date on competitive intel to help position the Staffbase product in the most compelling way for prospective customers.
What you need to be successful
- Proven experience as a Demo Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical pre-sales role, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- 3-5 years of experience creating and delivering customized technical demos in a pre-sales or similar setting.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with coding, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, for creating custom demo experiences.
- Strong technical knowledge of API frameworks, data management, and integration strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an engaging and accessible way.
- Collaborative team player, capable of working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Design teams.
- A solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
