Sales Manager Oxy-Arc International LP
Position: North American Sales Manager
NOTE: This job is located in Cornwall, Ontario and will require relocation, or regular commuting to Cornwall.
Oxy-Arc is excited to be searching for their next North American Sales Manager. Oxy-Arc is a leader in manufacturing and distributing cutting equipment, and related products, to steel mills across North American and throughout the world. Established in 1984, Oxy-Arc is known for the technical strength of its products, and the company’s superior customer service. Oxy-Arc is currently led by a strong leadership team with decades of experience operating and growing within the industry.
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Sales Manager is responsible developing and maintaining relationships with Oxy-Arc’s North American customers, as well as ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues. This position will involve identifying and interacting with potential new customers in an effort to expand the reach of Oxy-Arc’s market-leading products.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION TO CORNWALL, ON AND REQUIRES SIGNIFIGANT TRAVEL.
ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with Oxy-Arc’s current and prospective customer base
- Grow the customer base by reaching out and visiting with new potential customers
- Actively manage the sales process by qualifying leads, meeting with potential customers, building quotes/work orders, negotiating contracts and closing new business
- Collaborate with the Managing Partner to develop annual sales strategies to increase market share, including setting sales goals
- Promote the company and its products through various channels, including trade shows, facility tours and/or company events
- Utilize various sources to identify leads and connect with potential customers
- Communicate and coordinate with operational staff and management to maintain a high degree of customer service at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience selling into steel mills and/or sales of cutting/welding equipment or heavy industrial equipment (minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial cutting equipment and/or steel industry strongly preferred
- Extensive background in B2B sales, including prospecting and business development
- Ability, and willingness, to travel consistently to clients and spend a considerable amount of time out of office while maintaining productivity
- Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills, as well as an ability to work independently
- Experience in working with Sales ERP systems such as Salesforce to establish, maintain, expand and mine sales data to expand customer accounts and identify white spaces in target markets
Location: Flexible (remote) – Ottawa or Montreal area preferred; however, this position requires significant travel.
- Travel expectations: 50%+
Compensation: Base salary of $80,000 – $100,000 plus competitive commission on sales. Inclusive of commission, total compensation is expected to range from $120,000 to $180,000+
