Private Equity Business Development - Major Market Sales Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Private Equity Business Development Representative to join our team in the Human Capital Management space. As a key member of our Private Equity team, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with private equity firms, driving revenue growth, and expanding our market presence for HCM in Private Equity. This role requires a strong understanding of private equity and its value-creation efforts, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and target private equity firms as potential partners to assist and refer our HCM software solutions to their portfolio investments.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within private equity firms, including partners, investment professionals, and portfolio company executives.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Paycor internal teams, including sales, marketing, and industry-specific experts, to ensure alignment and maximize business opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase value creation efforts, and benefits of our HCM software solutions.
  • Negotiate and close deals with private equity firms, and their portfolio companies ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and long-term partnerships.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts to management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and market trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within or selling to Private Equity firms.
  • Strong understanding of private equity and its investment strategies, with a track record of successfully engaging with private equity firms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, resulting in revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to achieving targets and objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Pitchbook, and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. We anticipate the base pay for this position to be between $120,000 - $140,000. In addition to base pay, Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on their position. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope you'll still apply as there may be other positions that better align.
