Overview (New Position)

We are looking for an outside “Equipment Sales & Support Representative” who will help strengthen our customer relationships and improve territory coverage. The focus would be mainly on the B & C level accounts however this position would also assist the Director of Sales with major accounts. The team markets niche European manufactured mechanical processing and recycling machinery and systems to processors and manufacturers across Canada. Project sales values typically range from $50,000 – $5,000,000 with individual equipment sales ranging from $10,000 - $1,000,000 per unit.

What We Are Looking For:

· A B2B technical salesperson with integrity that is looking to join a successful team and contribute to continued sales growth and customer service excellence

· Experience in powered equipment (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical) OR the equivalent sales knowledge and technical experience/aptitude that would allow you to pick up the required knowledge

· A self-motivated, proactive and results driven individual

· A person with the negotiating skills required to close deals that benefit both the customer and the company

· Comfortable with business travel in Ontario with occasional Canada & USA travel

Equipment Sales & Support Representative Profile:

As a key member of the SRS Equipment Inc. and Komptech Ontario Inc. sales Team, the Equipment Sales & Support position will be focused on equipment sales and support services with the responsibility to achieve sales targets for equipment while always looking to expand our parts, service and rental business.

· Meet or exceed sales targets via sales/business development focused activities on the B & C size targets via cold calling, site visits and other sales lead generation activities in the recycling and processing sectors

· Proposal writing, presentations and negotiation of purchase agreements/contracts

· Demonstration, operation and basic troubleshooting of heavy equipment as required

· Maintain the CRM database, pipeline tracking and related sales reporting

· Promote and assist customers with parts & service related matters

· Equipment sales, sourcing components and parts, tracking and managing deliveries and generally assist the team with some project management responsibility (applicable to system installations and integration)

· Collaborate on marketing initiatives to develop and execute sales strategies

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Graduated from post-secondary program.

· B2B Technical sales background and experience (machinery preferred but not mandatory)

· Able to operate, demonstrate and perform basic troubleshooting on heavy equipment/machinery

· Driver’s license, a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.

· Able to travel throughout Ontario but also, Canada the US and Europe for business and training may be required on occasion.

Working Conditions:

This is a typical B2B outside sales role working mainly from a home office with some time in the corporate office as required. Travel mainly throughout Ontario with some national/international travel required.

· Work is generally conducted during a standard work week (Monday-Friday), with standard hours (40 hours/week) however, (as is the case with any outside sales role) there may be occasional evening or weekend work due to business travel, trade shows and related matters

· Client site visits (indoors & outdoors) are required. Outside work within odorous environments for recycling applications (compost facilities/landfills) and exposure to noise, dirt, and dust (manufacturing plants)

· Safety is always important and ongoing training is provided
