Department
You will be the part of FLSmidth’ s Service Execution team who is responsible for sales and execution of professional services for all FLSmidth products. This involves extensive travelling and involves high level of technical expertise and customer handling skills.
Role
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be part of FLSmidth’ s Service Site Sales team and responsible for sales and customer service in the South-Central sales district covering all the FLSmidth brands. These brands include Pfister, Automation, Pneumatic Transport, Services and Installation of cement process parts. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales programs and the implementation of customer development plans for the cement plants within the district.
The South-Central sales district is comprised of cement plants that are located within Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. The sales manager will need to live within the district but has flexibility.
The Regional Sales Manager must work closely with piers in the department and engage plant level and corporate based customer personal to develop technical proposals and a detailed scope of work. The incumbent must have project management skills, as a portion of the job is also ensuring products are delivered to our customers on time and within the specifications that the parts and projects were sold.
Your responsibilities
- Promote sales by providing customer assistance, proposal preparation and technical guidance.
- Must have worked in cement or related industries with 5 – 7 years of experience.
- Possess the necessary skills to negotiate orders up to 3 million USD in value.
- Interface with customer, understand customer needs and provide solutions covering the full life cycle of the FLSmidth portfolio.
- Own the customer relationship ensuring the generation of sales leads from site visits.
- Provide deep knowledge of customer issues and business challenges.
- Provide market intelligence and guidance regarding customer needs within the district.
- Maintenance of CRM with accurate information, working in collaboration with all other sales functions.
- Minimum travel of 100 site visits to customer sites per year.
- Ensure high-quality customer service.
- Knowledge of industrial safety principles and practices.
- Identify client business requirements that support proposals and order intake.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and vendors/contractors.
- Should be aware of latest site safety standards in the market.
- Should be capable of handling competitor's equipment.
- Should have proper knowledge of the manufacturing process of the industry.
- Strong time management skills at site team player.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree engineering, technical degree or similar educational qualification.
Experience
5 – 7 years of relevant experience.
