Position Summary
The Law Enforcement (LE) Sales Manager drives law enforcement agency and individual officer revenue growth within assigned territory. In this role, the LE Sales Manager exceeds territory profit objectives, builds relationships with key stakeholders, collects relevant market data, and understands customer performance expectations to improve overall customer satisfaction.

Job Duties
  • Achieves sales goals within the assigned territory by developing sales strategies, programs, and presentations for state and local law enforcement departments.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet websites, and other sources.
  • Develops and maintains strong partnerships with distributor network to ensure maximum sales performance.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, answer questions, provide product demos, etc. Makes joint sales calls with distributors and client representatives.
  • Attends trade shows to promote law enforcement products and build brand awareness.
  • Handles inquiries and requests from customers and independent sales representatives regarding technical questions, product literature, samples, and technical support.
  • Handles inbound inquiry calls from prospective customers by explaining product features, product selection, price quotes, product availability, and credit terms.
  • Conducts ongoing product training to law enforcement agencies, distributors and dealer directs.
  • Demonstrates and displays products while emphasizing product features during product demonstrations.
  • Utilizes sales software to create call reports, communicate market data, build opportunity pipelines, and forecast demand.
  • Provides reporting, market intelligence and strategic data when requested.
  • Provides customer feedback to the engineering, research and development, and sales team.
  • Provides investigative guidance and communication regarding product performance issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
A high School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements
Two years of previous law enforcement and/or federal sales experience is required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to prioritize sales efforts and tasks based upon what is most important for the overall business
  • Ability to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency in all applications of Microsoft Office
  • Small arms armorer, gunsmith or other training experience demonstrating a proficient knowledge of firearms and their use within the law enforcement community is preferred

Tools
Sales Force software experience preferred.

Working Conditions/Essential Functions
Position is performed in a typical office environment. Up to 50% domestic travel is required. Must be able to drive and remain seated in a vehicle for up to eight hours. Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds unassisted. May occasionally be required to lift objects in excess of 25 pounds.
