Job Description
PalAmerican is looking for an Account Manager for a High Tech Campus. The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of their assigned account, including hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff. They work to build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with both clients and employees, focusing on staff development and retention. The role involves coordinating necessary support services and resolving issues to ensure efficient account management. Additionally, the Account Manager is tasked with meeting or exceeding financial and operational objectives while delivering high-quality customer service. They also manage or supervise the maintenance of weekly schedules and payroll for assigned security personnel, and provide after-hours emergency response as needed. This role requires a valid California Drivers License with a clean driving record, for insurance purposes.
Essential Functions
- Oversee daily security operations at the assigned client site.
- Lead a team of security officers and supervisors, handling responsibilities such as hiring, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
- Ensure high-quality security services are provided to safeguard people and property at the client site.
- Establish, enhance, and sustain positive relationships with both the client and team members.
- Coordinate essential support services to effectively manage the client site, aiming to meet or exceed financial and operational targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met.
- Assure regular communication of issues with Client
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Other management responsibilities as determined by Client or Branch Manager.
- Communicate staffing needs via email to HR
- Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, recognition, etc.)
- Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with help from appropriate support employees (HR), as required) and that personnel records are updated and accurate (Submitting Change of Status forms, updating employee rosters, etc.)
- Assure communication of policies, company announcements and job openings etc.
- Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime.
- Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific OJT, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for security personnel, as well as meet corporate training standards (LMS).
- Develop / maintain operational procedures along with post orders, so they are always available for emergency reference by the security staff.
- Manage equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account(s), maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists.
- Take a proactive role in communicating with the client and meeting their needs; meet with regularly, listen to issues, provide security and technical expertise and solutions. Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Capably utilize WinTeam for scheduling and billing, and to produce reports (such as Scheduling Activity, invoice Aging by tiers, Training Summary and Training Detail reports) that require interpretation and action for effective business management.
- Enforce PalAmerican’s policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Four year degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field. Or equivalent years of experience in a Account Manager role.
- Previous Contract Security, military or law enforcement experience
- At least 8 years of business management/operations/supervisory experience (depending on size/scope of client).
- Ability to develop and grow customer relationships.
- Experience in hiring, developing, motivating and retaining quality staff.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, a diverse team of employees and client requirements on an ongoing basis.
- Previous payroll, billing and scheduling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment while having an entrepreneurial attitude.
