Facilities Resource Group seeks National Account Manager - Tankless Water Heating

Facilities Resource Group (“FRG”) in Comstock Park, Michigan, an industry leader in tankless water heating, provides high-efficiency, tankless water heating systems and plumbing solutions to national accounts and commercial clients throughout the US.

SUMMARY: Self-driven, energetic hunter wanted. Must have demonstrated success in national sales and applicable knowledge of commercial tankless water heating. This role is responsible for acquiring new business in new markets, managing key client accounts in existing and new markets, creating and cultivating long-term relationships, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring exemplary customer satisfaction. Collaborates onsite with internal departments to deliver innovative solutions which meet the evolving needs of national commercial clients. Travels up to 50% of the time (nationwide, air travel - all expenses paid). Must reside within commute range or relocate w/ assistance (local applicants highly preferred).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Client Acquisition and Development

  • Identify and pursue new national account opportunities;
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts;
  • Prospect for and gain new accounts;
  • Develop strategies to penetrate target markets and increase market share;
  • Develop customized sales strategies for potential high-value, multi-site clients;
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new business;
  • Attend events (trade shows, commissioning ) on behalf of company, as needed;

Account Management

  • Manage and nurture key account relationships serving as primary point of contact;
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with assigned national accounts in commercial and industrial sectors (mechanical contractors, specifying engineers, architects and end-user stakeholders (municipalities, hospitals, hospitality, etc.);
  • Participate in contract negotiations and ensure mutually beneficial results;
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, strategy sessions with clients;
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively;

Strategic Planning and Growth

  • Stay atop market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences;
  • Position the company as a leader and innovator in the space;
  • Develop in-depth understanding of each client’s business needs;
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell within existing accounts;
  • Work w/ product development to align offerings with client needs, market demands;

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectations;
  • Help lead cross-departmental initiatives to improve the customer experience;
  • Liaise with clients and internal leaders to share feedback and strategic insights;

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track and report KPI metrics tied to growth, client satisfaction, and sales pipeline;
  • Provide Capital Investment Planning support for equipment sales or replacement;
  • Plan and perform annual customer account analyses, sharing YOY changes w/ clients;
  • Manage volume pricing structure, adjusting for changes to client business plans;
  • Use data to forecast and analyze trends in key accounts and verticals;
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on new and potential accounts;

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • HS Diploma or GED mandatory;
  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred;
  • 5+ yr Commercial Plumbing / Tankless Water Heating experience;
  • 5+ yr Commercial / B2B Outside Sales or Business Development;
  • Analytical & strategic communicator with exemplary negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and CRM Software;
  • Adept, flexible and proactive in areas of travel, time management & organization
