Job Description

The Aftermarket Solutions Consultant will play an integral role in the identification, evaluation, demonstration, quoting, selling and supporting of material handling and industrial equipment. This individual will consult with customers in both a one-on-one, and joint team sell partnership focused on problem solving. This consultant will be responsible for exponential revenue growth as it relates to the repair of forklifts, material handling solutions, and equipment that provides industrial customers with a safe and efficient facility. In this role, the consultant will be responsible and accountable for increasing revenue from planned maintenance write ups.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Promote TMH Midsouth’s image to all customers and vendors
  • Partner with internal departments and sister branches to provide total customer satisfaction
  • Identify and gain sales opportunities that come from service write ups
  • Achieve sales goals by partnering with both leader, field technicians, and service leadership
  • Develop and execute strategic selling plans upselling repair services from planned maintenance write ups
  • Prepare progress updates for bi-weekly review with Aftermarket Sales Manager
  • Promote parts, service, and rental sales
  • Be an effective business partner to customers and prospects by understanding their business needs
  • Utilize available technology to be an effective and efficient in all interactions
  • Ensure professional development by staying informed with the latest industry trends and completing all required professional training

  • Gross profit
  • Technician write up/sales growth year-over-year
  • Diversity of sales mix
  • Overall planned maintenance sales growth year-over-year
  • Rental growth from planned maintenance sales

Skills, experience, and education needed to perform the job:
  • College degree preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalency required
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience in solution development
  • Ability to influence customers to choose Toyota
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and a “team-oriented” approach to the achievement of tasks
  • Effective communicator both written & verbal to convey professionalism, tone, urgency/empathy
  • Strategic problem solving
  • Analyze trends and make applicable adjustments to ensure profitable growth
  • Perform under pressure
  • Patience and ability to negotiate in a fast-paced environment
  • Goal achievement
  • Basic computer & iOS skills.
