Job Description
KeyAccount Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with our strategic partners and will be the lead point of contact for all key matters, anticipating the customer needs and meeting all set deadlines. The KAM leads and directs high-priority / very complex projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration, with adherence to quality, deadline and budget standards. The role must ensure effective use of resources, communicate organizational priorities, and drive timely execution of strategically important projects. The KAM will act as account specialist and will be the internal link between operations, internal and external contacts as well as support the Director of Business Development in her role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers
- Responsible for the oversight and management of projects from negotiations to product launch
- Manage project teams of various resources - company, client, and third-party resources - by providing leadership and work guidance across all phases of the project life cycle
- Design, implement, and document client business processes, systems, analyses, and metrics aimed at continuous improvement
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, timeline and budget and document scope when additional requests are made
- Manage project communication internally and externally and document key meetings and decisions
- Manage invoice tracking and account billing for a project-based account
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, and lead project update meetings, maintain timelines, resource utilization, and prepare project reports
- Leads, organizes, and participates in meetings/sessions, including both on-site and off-site events
- Prepares and presents meeting agendas and writes comprehensive, organized summary reports
- Documents and follows up on key action items
- Manage and adjust team activities to meet key milestones
- Managing QA verifications/validations/and customers processes
- Manage the equipment ordering/delivery/installation
- Work with procurement to get delivery dates on ingredients/packaging
- Managing coordination of scheduling
- Oversee customer visits/trials
- Communication with customer on pre-production/production/shipping expectations
- Continuous on-floor checks of item (product to packaging)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum BA/BS required
- 5+ years of experience in account management or business development management, within the food industry a plus
- Action oriented, with a strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in MS Office Applications
Proficient with packaging die lines, printers, proofing while supporting cross-functional teams each key deliverable
