A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A Regional SALES Associate, As the Regional Sales Associate you will grow our independent college bookstore business by building lasting, mutually-profitable relationships with bookstore staff through direct outreach and working closely with our external, independent Sales team. This position will start working in the office 5 days a week, but once fully trained there is an opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sell and manage diploma frame programs within a designated territory.
- Drive sales with both new and existing customers.
- Deliver compelling presentations to key decision-makers.
- Develop trusted and loyal business partnerships with bookstore staff and outside sales reps as well as with internal company teams.
- Attend regional and national trade shows for the purpose of selling our products, re-enforcing business relationships and identifying prospects and gaining insights on industry trends.
- Call on all assigned customers and prospects in the territory on a regular basis to effectively increase market penetration and meet sales growth goals.
- Ability to support outside sales reps through regularly scheduled meetings and calls.
- Work with internal Marketing Team to develop and execute robust marketing campaigns, online and within bookstores, for customers.
- Become an ongoing trusted specialist with your customers, utilizing value-add programs to deliver solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications, such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Outlook. Web browsing: Internet Explorer or Chrome
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred. / Work experience in lieu of degree considered.
- 0-2 years of sales, account management, or comparable experience.
- Potential growth opportunities planned for this role.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy the independence of developing a business/territory.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and/or client needs simultaneously.
- Responsive and dependable in communication, execution of self-appointed tasks.
- Competent technology skills with Microsoft Office suite of programs and CRM software. Ability to quickly learn new proprietary systems.
- Unafraid to work in a highly competitive market, driven primarily by relationships.
- A passion for helping Universities and graduates celebrate their important achievements.
- Hybrid 1-2 days/week once well established in role.
- Role can be compatible with school day schedule.
