Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and growth of existing commercial lines book, primarily in conjunction with financial institution partnerships.
- Manages existing account servicing and renewals with size varying from small to medium commercial and across various carriers and managing general agencies. Includes complex renewal policies and coverage requests.
- Provides information, rates, and quotes for all new and renewal Commercial lines policies by evaluating, processing, and placing coverage based on the degree of risk indicated on the applications and within the underwriting guidelines provided by various carriers and/or brokers.
- Responsible for maintaining agency underwriting standards, workflows, and procedures to ensure high quality service and compliance to agency standards.
- Maintains a current level of insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques by attending seminars, webinars, or other training events.
- Responsible for existing account forms processes, coverage changes and other service requests.
- Coordinate submissions new/renewal to submit to appropriate insurance companies
- Prepares summaries and proposals for new and renewal accounts
- Serves as a resource for Account Executives and other team members
- Assists with pre-underwriting information gathering, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations if needed
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- 3+ Years of relevant insurance industry experience
- At least three (3) years of years of maintaining, selling and servicing commercial accounts in customer service or underwriting.
- Strong working knowledge of insurance forms, coverage and rating.
- Strong understanding of commercial E&S and admitted markets.
- Strong understanding of agency workflow procedures, underwriting, sales, and service processes.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions with multiple concrete and abstract variables.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Effective communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently
- Able to work under sometimes stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Excellent negotiation skills – verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across each level of the agency
- Demonstrate knowledge of market appetite, marketing processes, and marketing strategy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data entry and analysis
Licensing Requirements:
- General Lines Property & Casualty Agent License

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
