Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative
Summary: The Inside Sales / Customer Service Rep is responsible for building strong relationships with our reps, designers, and architects and providing support for all aspects of sales activity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inside Sales
● Builds strong relationships with reps, designers/architect
● Creates SalesForce opportunities for projects
● Works with reps to maintain a reliable opportunity pipeline
● Follows up on projects weekly
● Understands client needs and offers solutions and support
● Supports our outside sales team (reps and sales managers) when closing sales
● Strategizes on volume projects to help increase the conversion rate
● Identifies ways to increase sales
● Enters new leads into Salesforce
● Maintains database (SalesForce, CRM, Spreadsheets, etc.) of prospective client information
● Coordinates and generates quotes for the sales team and customers
● Coordinates spiffs for Sales Reps/Showrooms Project Management
Project Management
● Manages a project from initial inquiry or handoff from the Regional Sales Manager to shipping
● Creates opportunities for projects
● Manages order payments and status updates
● Works on custom projects with Engineering, sales reps, and the customer
● Maintains project documentation
● Sets deadlines and monitors project progress
● Evaluates project performance and ensures the project delivers the expected outcomes
General Customer Service
● Processes customer service claims
● Processes orders (Order Entry)
● Creates cases in Salesforce to document warranty claims and product issues
● Manages the status of open cases
● Supports the completion of the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process
● Resolves cases and claims based on the company’s terms and conditions
● Supports the engineering department in identifying issues and resolving them
● Answers potential client questions and follow-up call questions
● Supports shipping/freight as needed
● Assists Accounting with maintaining accounts receivable
● Invoices completed orders
● Completes new account setup
● Updates customer service notes and creates new process documentation
Computer Skills:
● Microsoft Excel and Google Suite skills such as: development and interpretation of worksheets, use of named ranges, pivot tables, look-up functions, and the ability to interpret moderately complex formulas (for example, nested if’s, etc).
● Sage 100 experience desired or familiarity with ERP system elements, Sales Order Entry and Billing, Collections, Purchasing and AP, Inventory vs General Expense activity
● Ability to navigate within multiple data systems
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 3+ years of similar or related experience. Experience in the lighting industry and/or a manufacturing environment desired.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
