Regional Sales Manager

REPORTS TO: Regional Director

Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager works with the VP, Sales & Marketing, Area Sales Managers, Area Operations Managers, Regional marketing team, and corporate support to improve overall sales efforts in both RSR and CSR while meeting the guidance and direction provided by our Business Model.

Key Responsibilities:

The Regional Sales Manager is a Regional Staff position responsible to:

  • Train, conduct the hiring process, and assist in compensation design of the Sales Consultants, Area Sales Managers, and Sales Coordinators.
  • Manage to KPI’s set by Region or SEI.
  • Create and conduct sales and lead generation contests and/or programs that drive revenue and jobs within Region.
  • Conduct periodic ride alongs with Sales Consultants and Technicians to review policy and procedures and benchmark best practices with respect to sales and pricing.
  • Build and implement sales training programs in the Region, in coordination with VP of Sales, for Sales Consultants.
  • Coordinate with Regional marketing groups and VP of Sales on promotions, pricing, etc., for replacement as well as service and maintenance for residential and commercial departments.
  • Work with required entities on National Programs and ensure these programs are implemented in Region.
  • Ensure adherence to pricing strategy set by Region and/or SEI.
  • Act as a liaison between executive leadership and Region related to sales efforts.
  • Grow multiple department revenue including variable margin dollars.
  • Promote the growth of Agreement sales.
  • Develop Lead Generation through various channels, including self-generated leads for Sales Consultants and technician-generated leads.
  • Work with Regional Director to develop strategies to grow in new markets and/or channels.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Health & Safety Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example by coaching and supporting the health and safety program within your area of responsibility.
  • Review your area(s) specific accident trends with the sales team to identify areas of opportunities for improvement
  • Review on a regular basis with the Sales Consultants their responsibilities with respect to safety and review their performance against these responsibilities on an on-going basis.
  • Attend safety committee or Area safety meetings as prescribed by the company program(s) or procedure(s).
  • Correct or provide the resources to correct substandard acts or conditions that may come to light.
  • Conduct or provide resources to conduct health & safety training as prescribed by the company program(s) or procedure(s)
  • Conduct health and safety observations as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)
  • Conduct Accident/ Incident Investigations as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)
  • Comply with your duties as prescribed by your local legal jurisdiction.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional sales management knowledge and experience
  • Prepared and available for travel, as required, within the Region, to its Areas and to its branches.
  • Ideally, will possess strong people management, leadership and professional skills and experience
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Training and coaching skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and planning skills.
  • A complete and thorough understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant office software.
  • Multi-location sales force management experience.
  • Consultative and collaborative selling approach.
  • In-home selling experience.
  • Training/teaching skills.
  • Ability to identify individual, Area and/or Branch performance deficiencies.
  • Ability to analyze pricing (relative to other competitive situations and ability to drive high margin dollars through pricing).
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a sales role, with some prior leadership and/or management responsibilities.
  • Comfortable with minimum 50% travel within your assigned region.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
