Job Purpose/ Summary

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for leading assigned accounts focused on public affairs, cannabis industry, thought leadership, and overall public policy strategy. SAEs consistently produce high-level, client-ready work. They require zero oversight on pitches, daily client written communications, and update/ action item calls.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing senior-level leadership to client services team;
  • Provide a high level of daily customer service for clients and serve as a main point of contact;
  • Possess a thorough knowledge on the legislative and regulatory landscape and competitor performance, as it relates to each assigned client;
  • Partner with team members on content creation and support of collateral materials and client events, including, but not limited to state and municipal application documentation, fact sheets, presentations for elected and appointed boards, state regulators and potential investors, advocacy materials, responses for RFI/RFQ/RFPs, and other essential internal and external communications;
  • Manage projects from concept through execution;
  • Strategize on consulting goals and objectives; and
  • Provide junior teammates with assistance, education, and guidance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of consulting, government, cannabis industry, public policy or comparable job experience;
  • A Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, or a related field;
  • Strong, proven project management, research, writing, and public speaking experience;
  • Proficient computer skills, including significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience with Data Analysis/Reporting tools such as Excel, GANTT charts, Python, etc. a plus;
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and multi-task in a team-oriented environment while consistently working against hard deadlines;
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn through on-the-job experiences;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Results-focused approach with focused attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,500.00 - $88,000.00 per year
