Position Overview:

The Associate Technical Account Manager (ATAM) is a customer-focused and technically able systems administrator, responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, delivering technical support, and supporting project execution to ensure successful outcomes. The ATAM will work closely with TAM and clients to understand their needs and challenges, help them optimize their IT and cybersecurity infrastructure, and deliver tailored solutions that meet business objectives. This role requires a combination of on-site work at Sund Technologies as well as periodic travel to client sites, depending on project requirements and client needs. The ATAM will also be on-call as needed for urgent technical support and incident management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex technical issues
  • Support Microsoft-related technologies, including Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
  • Manage and maintain virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Configure, install, and maintain network devices and services (e.g., routers, firewalls, WAN/LAN connectivity)
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and IT personnel to resolve issues
  • Effectively communicate with clients regarding ticket progress, changes, and outages
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client systems and configurations
  • Enter time, expenses, and work as service tickets in ConnectWise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in the IT field. Experience in a client-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineer, or IT/Network Support.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and networking
  • Experience with SonicWall, Datto, Connectwise, Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of managed IT services, endpoint security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in project management, including participating in cross-functional teams, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions under pressure.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
