Account Manager – Tieton Cider Works – Seattle (Downtown Seattle)
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Sales, manages relationships between Cidery and distributor sales teams, retailers and consumers. Directly responsible for increasing sales and product placements within assigned area. This position is responsible for managing a territory to include high-profile retailers, grocery stores, bars, restaurants and venues. Selling responsibilities include introducing, sampling and promoting new and existing products; building and growing distribution and revenue; increasing sales volume and market share of Tieton Cider Works.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Territory Management
· Manage an assigned territory by calling new accounts, actively selling in buying accounts and recognizing new opportunities within each account an keeping the necessary account records.
· Actively follow and call on your territory account list. Find new prospective customers using CRM software (VIP KARMA).
Selling
· Work with distributor on a regular basis concentrating on increasing distribution in both the Off and On Premises.
· Develop key customers in the territory and attain a preferred vendor relationship with said retailers to gain sales and distribution.
· Participate in “ride-withs” with distributor sales reps and team leaders throughout their entire territory.
· Elicit feedback from the market on what could help propel the brand further and report to managers, including: pricing, point-of-sale, etc.
· Use point-of-sale materials to increase merchandising success.
· Develop and maintain chain store placement and relationships, C stores, and on-premise relationships.
· Establish and maintain a list of both active and prospective accounts and buyers to provide time and attention toward building the TCW portfolio in both distribution and revenue.
Distributor Relationship
· Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with distributor sales personnel to gain “preferred vendor” status.
· Coordinate wholesaler education for new product releases.
· Ensure that TCW quality standards are clearly understood and enforced by distributors and retailers.
· Become an asset to our distributor teams and retail partners.
Organizational/Reporting
· Maintain and submit daily/weekly/monthly records of account calls, placements and general market impact via CRM software (KARMA).
· Keep a weekly/bi-weekly planner of goals and account calls within the assigned territory.
· Evaluate effectiveness of On and Off Premise events, measured in future “reorder” sales.
· Attend selected festivals and events such as but not limited to in-store tastings, on-premise tap promos and cider dinners.
· Attend selected sales functions including crew drives, sales meetings, and other such events, where and as required.
Other Duties
· Respond to general business e-mail inquiries and forward pertinent information accordingly.
· Work with marketing team to ensure our brand image is best in class.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

IMPORTANT SKILLS, ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous experience working with or within the craft beverage industry (distributors, suppliers, retailers).
· Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
· Must have proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
· Must be a self-starter.
· High level of craft beverage product knowledge preferred.
· Must be organized and efficient with your time and efforts.
· Must have a flexible schedule; ability to work some nights and weekends.
· Must be able to maintain business-like behavior during and after consumption of alcohol.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point.
· The ideal candidate will already be living in the Account Management area of the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Performance duties of this job include regularly being required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, hear, and smell.
· Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 32 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
· Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
· Must be able to participate in critical assessment of ciders.
· Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
· The ability to travel to various industry events via car or airplane is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
