As a Freight Broker with us, you will play a pivotal role in connecting shippers with carriers and facilitating the smooth movement of goods throughout the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

1. Carrier and Shipper Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and shippers to establish a network of reliable transportation partners. Negotiate rates and contractual agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.

2. Freight Management: Coordinate the transportation of goods by matching shippers' requirements with available carriers

3. Freight Tracking: Monitor shipments from pick-up to delivery, proactively addressing any potential delays or issues. Provide regular updates to both shippers and carriers to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.

4. Rate Negotiation: Efficiently negotiate freight rates with carriers and shippers to achieve competitive pricing while maximizing profitability for the company.

5. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and industry regulations.

6. Problem-Solving: Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting any logistics-related problems or challenges, quickly resolving issues to maintain smooth operations.

7. Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging transportation solutions to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

8. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients by promptly addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and proactively communicating relevant information.

9. Data Management: Utilize specialized software and systems to organize and track freight-related data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in freight brokerage or logistics is highly preferred, but candidates with a strong background in sales or supply chain management will also be considered.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and carriers alike.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling challenges.

- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and software.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

- A results-oriented mindset and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
