How will this role have an impact?

We are looking to hire an experienced Network & Voice engineer to manage and maintain our company's enterprise Network and Voice environments with connections into Azure and AWS.
As a Network & Voice engineer, you will be responsible for handling advanced support issues, and maintaining branch office Network & Voice communications and VPNs. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our Network and Voice environment, the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of incidents.

To ensure success as a Network & Voice engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise Network & Voice environments, high-level managerial skills, and advanced project management skills. The Network & Voice engineer ensures the networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of the network and voice environments. Not only can you help us connect the dots and evolve our cloud capabilities over time, but you're also evolving your own capabilities as an engineer and keeping an eye on developments that can support our expansion and help us implement those, too!

This role will report to our Director of Network & Voice Operations

What you will do?

  • Operate, design and implement functional company network and voice environments
  • Installing and configuring network and voice services (switches, firewalls, SDN, Azure, AWS virtual networks; direct connect and express route)
  • Creating and implementing security measures with Security Operations teams
  • Managing and mentoring other engineers
  • Conducting regular network and voice performance tests
  • Performing networking maintenance tasks to ensure availability
  • Dealing with escalated support issues
  • Reporting up network and voice status reports (monthly)
  • Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company
  • Write and implement protocols company-wide via department policies and procedures
  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous work experience as a networking and voice engineer (4+ years)
  • Advanced knowledge of communication and routing protocols
  • Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, Palo Alto, and IOS. (Citrix Netscaler, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of voice and call center environments including Cisco, Microsoft, Five9.
  • Familiarity with network and voice analysis tools including LogicMonitor/Solarwinds
  • Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering
  • Interest in Network/VOIP Engineering and its impact on business practices
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace
  • Skilled at working with a team of engineers, or alone as required
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNP, WebEx or equivalent)
  • Certification as an Azure Administrator/Architect Certification, AWS Solutions Architect and/or Cloud Security Certification

The base salary hiring range for this position is $72,100 to $125,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
