Logistics & Inside Sales Coordinator

SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics coordinator to join our team. As a primary contact for the customer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating truckload transportation while tracking and meeting the timely delivery of the goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation management and possess strong communication skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinator will be responsible to schedule and plan to the driver/carrier while directing the activities for tracking all milestones of the movement. Coordinate the appointments and assign orders in accordance with maximum profitability. Able to contact receivers and shippers while scheduling the dispatches to company fleet and or outside carriers.

· Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and customers.

· Ensures that each order meets the agreed pricing, tracking all accessories and billing the customers operating and functioning within the defined parameters and reporting by each customer requirements.

· Manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to closing deals.

· Provides inside sales while contacting customers for additional orders.

· Participate on companies’ social media for new opportunities and contacts.

· Maintains customer care by communicating all updates in our system while identifying any operational problems and issues.

· Performs duties of communications specialist as required; receives, screens, and takes appropriate action on any expectations or service failures to include cost overrides (empty or loaded miles)

· Reports to Operations for executing and meeting the planned on-time service to the customer.

· Determines the priority, covers additional orders, when necessary, in accordance with established plan, policies and procedures, relays pertinent information to various assigned teams on a timely basis in a concise, organized, and understandable manner.

· Monitors inbound orders to ensure that all dispatches are in accordance with customers and company requirements.

· Maintains and documents any records for service requirements.

· Assists in investigations and reporting of driver/customer complaints and implements proper resolution to any issues that may arise;

· Assists in operations with any development of customer goals, objectives, requirements, and procedures.

· Ensures overall compliance with billing and accounting for perfect bill.

· Follow up with accounting group on open invoices for collections as required.

· Performs department accounting duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation based on experience.

Expected hours: 40 per week.

Work to be performed at companies’ corporate office.
