Job Description


Responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a sales excellence strategy that will enhance Syngenta Canada’s field sales and account management capabilities and processes nationally. The role will be accountable driving continuous improvement in our selling and account management within Canada and collaborate locally, regionally and globally to enable success.

This position has a flexible work location and can be based in Calgary, AB, or Guelph, ON, We are open to remote work arrangements across Canada for the right person.

Duties:

  • Work with the Head of Sales and Crop Protection Sales Leadership Team in Canada to enable the successful execution of our national sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with the sales and account management team to identify key development needs (Agronomy, product knowledge, value selling and sales skills, strategic account management).
  • Lead the development, implementation and delivery of capability building programs for the field sales and account management teams nationally.
  • Liase with regional and global Marketing and Sales Execution (MaSE) and Commercial Excellence teams to enable successful implementation of sales effectiveness training.
  • Ensures that the Syngenta way of selling is constantly evolving and remains competitive in an ever changing landscape.
  • This will require about 25% travel across Canada.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Agronomy, Ag-Business, Marketing and / or Sales management.
  • 8+ years experience in a commercial role, with a focus on B2B sales.
  • Experienced sales and/or marketing leader.
  • Experience using a CRM and Data analytics to improve and project sales.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Agricultural industry preferred.
  • Experience with Sale Force platform preferred.
