Job Description
The Senior Vice President of Global Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy and execution across the organization in all of PTI’s international markets. This role involves managing relationships with key customers, partners, and internal teams while driving revenue growth through the sale of company products and services in various territories. The SVP will act as the primary executive contact for major clients and business opportunities, leveraging deep market insight to exceed sales targets and grow market share. The role requires a seasoned leader who can both develop and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships and spearhead the team toward achieving ambitious sales goals and is experienced travelling and doing business in the Americas and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the development of new business opportunities, driving revenue and market expansion by leveraging networks, research, and strategic sales initiatives for US, LATAM, Caribbean and Europe.
- Act as a senior point of contact for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and other key telecommunication operators, fostering relationships within the assigned territory.
- Manage a sales, leasing and marketing team of X personnel globally who are responsible for various components of the sales cycle.
- Manage and enhance the sales pipeline, from prospecting new clients to proposal development, presentations, and closing deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Producing monthly reporting and ad hoc reporting to investors, management and other stakeholders.
- Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with customers by deeply understanding their needs and proactively addressing any issues or opportunities.
- Oversee the identification of new build opportunities, coordinating site acquisition, and negotiating contract terms to successfully close deals.
- Analyze and report on key performance metrics, including weekly sales activity updates, sales forecasts, and operational data for management review.
- Expedite and resolve any customer issues or complaints, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Implement and manage customer satisfaction surveys, presenting actionable results and follow-up plans to internal teams.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform pricing, sales strategies, and acquisition opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, including Lease Administration, Operations, and other regional teams, to streamline processes and ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and implement a long-term commercial strategy aligned with company growth targets, including sales forecasts, revenue planning, and expense management.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company values and driving a culture of success and accountability.
- Present sales and performance results to the executive management team, contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the company.
Qualifications:·
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in driving growth and managing complex, high-value customer relationships.
- Strong experience in the telecom, tower, or infrastructure industry is highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a sales organization and achieving sales targets.
- Significant international travel is expected.
- Strong technology skills and data analyses is expected.
- Deep understanding of real estate, property management, zoning, and construction processes.
- Experience negotiating long-term contracts and managing key customer relationships at the executive level.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Italian or French is preferred.
