Sales Representative (Access Control/CCTV)
REPORTS TO:
CFO
PURPOSE:
Newly-created position to meet customers’ needs in regards to Access Control and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
JOB SUMMARY:
Bob’s Distributing, Inc (BDI) is seeking an Experienced Sales person with strong Technical knowledge and experience; a leader that can bring in New Sales, Technical and Management skills. JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with new and current Customers, Vendors and Manufacturers
- Help drive sales volumes
- Provide customer service and customer retention using best practice methods
- Work with Vendors to set up product-training seminars/classes for Sales staff and customer development
- Create goals and methods concerning new customer prospects
- Work with Controller to set, meet and review financial objectives set forth by Upper Management
- Discreetly monitor local competitors

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Understand Access Control operation including but not limited to:
- Card readers and formats
- Credentials
- Badge systems
- Lock selection and installation
- Power Supplies
- Cable selections and limitations
- Request to exit devices
- Codes Intercoms
- Entry system
- Data communication formats
Understand CCTV operation including but not limited to:
- DVR’s
- NVR’s
- IP cameras
- Analog cameras
- Power Supplies
- Encoders/Decoders
- Matrix systems
- PTZ cameras and formats
- Camera placement
- Lens selection and focusing
- Cabling sizes and limitations
- Remote viewing
- Transmission methods (twisted pair, fiber optic, wireless, coax)
Understand network principles including but not limited to:
- IP addressing
- Subnets
- Port Forwarding
- Cabling standards
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of and a proficiency in using Computer and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), and Internet

- Strong technical knowledge, of relevant technology and tools
- Knowledge of the assigned business unit/area's direction and practices
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some college or university; and five to ten years related experience working with applications development and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Alarm industry, video surveillance, and/or access control experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
