AGCO’s Massey Ferguson Division has an exciting opportunity for a Product Specialist to join its sales team in delivering extraordinary results throughout the US Central Midwest territory. The Product Specialist plays a key role in building dealer relationships to grow share of wallet within a dealership and build customer relationships that drive market share and loyalty within the territory. They are a key member of the local territory and district. They work closely with the Account Managers and dealers to execute local strategies as agreed in the annual business plan. They help the dealer focus on customer loyalty / retention by following a robust sales process that includes lead management, product training and customer demonstrations focused on matching AGCO products to customers’ needs. They collaborate with assigned sales team to explain the advantages of our products to dealer personnel to drive wholesale and then follow through with lead management, training and demonstrations to drive retail - all in support of the annual business plan. This position requires extensive travel to dealers and farmer throughout the Central Midwestern United States as you will be on the road more than 60% of the time. The territory includes Sioux Falls SD, Des Moines IA, and Mankato MN as the key locations.


Your Impact

  • As the product expert you’ll provide consultation to customers and dealers on all aspects of sales, operation, and training needs to fully support customer success with Massey Ferguson products and technology.
  • Aid the Account Manager as assigned and follow their direction relative to specific dealer strategies and tactics in support of the annual dealer business plan.
  • Provide Product Sales & Operation Training
  • Assist dealers in planning, executing and following up with customer demonstrations - with focus on making dealer sales professionals self-sufficient in the demo process.
  • Complete internal administrative tasks relating to position in order to ensure robust metrics and reporting (i.e. Lead Gen, Training, Demonstrations)
  • Support dealers with customer visits with the intent to build relationships, collect VOC information, prospect or qualify leads and assist dealer with hosting and conducting open houses, clinics, field days and other local customer events.


Your Experience and Qualifications

  • You must be able to make decisions, work independently, and in a team environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate objectives, feedback, and manage through influence
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the agricultural industry with customer/technical support, operational, or technology background
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and/or business development
  • High school diploma
  • Strong agricultural background/knowledge

Your Workplace

You will work remote with regular travel to dealer and customer locations in the upper mid-west. Key states of focus will include Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.
