What we are looking for:

Account Manager

A client-focused professional who will be assisting the brokers and account managers in servicing independent insurance agents. Someone who is adept at operating efficiently in a very high volume atmosphere, sharing best practices with the team, meeting the needs of agents, and achieving the business goals of the Company. Someone who operates with integrity, respect and proud of their ethics and work product.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Handle/answer telephone calls of all types, promptly and courteously to our agents, and directing to appropriate broker or account manager.
  • Performs functions on agency management system, proficiently and accurately as product excellence is the standard.
  • Binding of new and renewal business including review of subjectivities and follow-ups.
  • Follow up with agents for missing bind documents and submitting information to carriers.
  • Follow up with carriers for binders, invoices, and policies.
  • Providing premium finance agreements when needed.
  • Order inspections in conjunction with binds when needed.
  • Processing of endorsements, checking for carrier accuracy.
  • Processing policy cancellations and reinstatement, including following up with carrier and accounting.
  • Process audits and the ability to review them.
  • Management of audit disputes
  • Issuing Mesa policies and endorsements.
  • Assist in training of Customer Service Representatives as needed.
  • Back up to the CSR duties and secondary back up to the Front Desk.
  • Performs additional assigned duties as necessary.


What you must have:

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
  • Strong verbal & written communication to convey professionalism in all facets of the job, both internally and externally.
  • Detail oriented, resourceful, and can think critically.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive disposition as you’ll be dealing with different office personalities.
  • Adaptability to changes in processes and procedures.
  • Above average computer proficiency.
  • Values a team environment and appreciates constructive feedback.
  • An active property and casualty insurance license.
  • Willingness to obtain CISR designation.
  • Ability to work regular core hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
