Sr Systems Administrator
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, as well as a broad range of IT systems, network administration, and security expertise. This role involves managing, configuring, and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance, with a special focus on mobile device management and cloud-based solutions through Intune.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Intune Management:
- Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Intune for device management (Windows, iOS, Android).
- Set up policies for device enrollment, security, and compliance using Intune.
- Automate the deployment and management of applications, patches, and security settings across all company devices.
- Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) policies.
- Monitor and maintain device compliance with organizational security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune configurations and deployments.
- Systems Administration:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, and network systems.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
- Ensure uptime, performance, and security of the company’s systems and networks.
- Perform backups, system patching, and updates to maintain compliance and security standards.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Support and manage cloud services, especially Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Exchange Online.
- Security:
- Implement security measures such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and security patches.
- Assist in responding to security incidents and participate in post-incident analysis and remediation.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and improve system processes and infrastructure.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and fulfill technical needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, especially those related to Microsoft services and Intune.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in IT systems administration, with a focus on Microsoft environments.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, including deployment, configuration, and management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and network administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Office 365.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to system maintenance and security.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must be a US Citizen due to US government customer requirements*
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation and management tasks.
- Knowledge of additional MDM/MAM solutions.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Active Security Clearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
