Job Title: Business Head

Department: North America

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an adaptable, successful, and experienced Business Head for our Retail division as we increase our market share in North America. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of our expansion into the North American retail market. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven, have a passion for learning about and engaging with people, and a desire to build a successful business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall responsibility for ETG Commodities Ltd. sales and business management operations.
  • Develop, administer and maintain a comprehensive sales and marketing program that ensures continued growth and industry leadership.
  • Demonstrate and encourage teamwork and cooperation with all members of the sales and production group and with other divisions within ETG Commodities Inc. umbrella.
  • Work with senior management to establish annual sales and expense budgets.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales and marketing activities in all locations on an ongoing basis and other presentations as requested from time to time.
  • Establish, with the assistance of the COO, certain performance goals such as sales and profit margins.
  • Be a role model for the company culture.
  • Implement strategic planning including market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning.
  • Define marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation.
  • Oversee and manage marketing requirements for retail including branding, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management.
  • Oversee product management including market and customer research for market and product requirements, interface with engineering for product development, product pricing and product lifecycle management.
  • Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing, COO and the other executive team members to identify and develop strategic alliances, raise venture/public financing, communicate with members, and close/grow major customer accounts.
  • Develop and implement quarterly and/or annual sales plans, policies, and programs for all sales representatives and business development managers.
  • Conduct analysis to manage sales performance against corporate objectives and market developments.
  • Develop and implement distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth opportunities.
  • Create product segmentation strategies where needed to maximize business opportunities across various sales channels.
  • Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
  • Maximize relationships with key business partners.
  • Conduct regular analysis on pricing effectiveness and recurring trends; create actionable item lists based on findings.
  • Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary.

Employment Qualification and Requirements:

  • Business Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent to other relevant fields
  • MBA Post Graduate Degree is desired
  • 7 years’ or more experience in the consumer retail food industry
  • 7 years' or more experience in a sales position with 5 years or more experience in a senior managerial role

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Consumer Retail Food: 7 years (Preferred)
  • Sales/ Senior Manager: 7 years (Preferred)
