About the Opportunity:
We're seeking a sales-oriented individual with a technical background in engineering to join our clients sales team! This role is perfect for someone with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge who excels in building trust and communicating complex ideas to various skillsets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer care for existing accounts and proactively pursue new business opportunities.
- Conduct visits to local engineering firms to assist in selecting and specifying the right machinery for their needs.
- Make 4-6 sales calls daily and initiate 3 cold calls per week to identify and engage new prospects.
- Follow through on orders, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the equipment production process.
- Collaborate closely with customers and team members to support equipment sales through parts and services.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Mechanical and electrical expertise, with a proven ability to understand complex machinery.
- Sales Acumen: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in machinery or industrial equipment.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, handle rejection, thrive under pressure, and enjoy travel.
Education & Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Alternative: Minimum of two years of college or a technical sales background.
- Experience: Knowledge of industrial machinery, including electrical and mechanical components, is a plus.
Compensation:
- $85k - $100k
