Position: Event Sales Business Development Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Sales & Client Relations
Location: Remote/Hybrid based in Orlando, Florida
Travel: Little to no travel required
Position Summary:
Are you a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for event sales? We are seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. As the Business Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales initiative by researching and developing potential leads and business opportunities within the events and conference industry. This exciting role will support and report to The Director of Client Relations & Event Experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support company sales initiatives by generating sales leads, qualifying prospects, and assisting with sales presentations.
- Assist The Director of Client Relations & Event Experience with administrative tasks, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and preparing sales reports.
- Cold call potential customers and send email follow-ups with the goal of turning cold leads into potential opportunities.
- Solicit and manage interactions with potential clients.
- Coordinate email campaigns backed by consistent scheduled follow-up communication.
- Maintain and update company customer database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of customer information and lead distribution.
- Assist with market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to provide valuable insights to the sales team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Planning, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred. Or proven track record of business-to-business direct sales experience.
- Proven experience as a Sales Coordinator or in a similar coordination role.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with a polished customer centric approach.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as CRM [Customer Relations Management] platforms.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
