Job Summary:


The Area Sales Manager will oversee the sales activities and operations within a designated area. This role involves achieving sales targets and activity metrics, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of sales goals. The Area Sales Manager will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing market insights to the senior management.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy and Planning:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve sales targets in the assigned area.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work state specific and national associations, trade shows, and events.

Customer Relationship Management:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and develop new customer relationships to expand the business.

Sales Operations:


  • Monitor sales activities, including pipeline management, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as marketing and logistics to support sales efforts.
  • All Activities must be logged in the CRM. We utilize HubSpot.

Market Analysis and Reporting:


  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry developments and market conditions.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales performance and address market changes.

Compliance and Ethics:


  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior within the sales team.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in sales, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a territory sales role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in concrete, construction, or tech sales preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50% within the assigned area as required.

Compensation:


  • $65,000 Base Salary
  • 10% Commission on Revenue
  • First Year OTE $90,000+
