This is an exciting opportunity in a rapidly expanding, progressive region of Southern California. Job Description:

Work with the Sales team to solicit business from defined vertical markets that may include corporate, entertainment and convention segments. Responsibilities, includes securing new accounts and third party contacts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverages strategic approaches to uncover new business for small to medium sized room blocks and meetings.
  • Develops and manages his or her market and monitors sales activities and performance to ensure production meets or exceeds established revenue goals.
  • Develops creative tactical sales plans to support development of his or her market segments.
  • Create hotel awareness and generate new business through direct phone sales and outside sales calls, tradeshows, sales missions, site inspections and networking groups.
  • Negotiate group sales contracts to achieve maximum profitability while fulfilling customer needs and Hotel sales objectives.
  • Develops and maintains solid relationships with local clients and companies, and travels for sales missions to various markets in the U.S.
  • Cooperates and supports all hotel staff, including management personnel to maintain hotel service standards that achieve maximum profitability and efficiency.
  • Assist with all guest inquiries including telephone inquiries and walk in site inspections as well as telephone sales blitzes.
  • Support operations and Front Desk team where required.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/ service procedures/standards.
  • Supports the Director of Sales & Marketing to contribute to the overall sales and marketing objectives of the Hotel.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Delphi account management
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 2-4 years hotel sales department experience
  • Strong closing and prospecting skills, self-directed, excellent computer and telephone skills
  • Superior relationship-building skills and able to effectively network
  • Knowledge of hotel PMS systems preferred

Salary commensurate with experience, full benefits package and bonus eligible.
