WORKFLOW RELATIONSHIP(S):

This position communicates regularly with the Collections Managers regarding accounts, performance and ideas that support and motivate the team.

This position communicates weekly with the Accounting and payment entry positions regarding payments to ensure the accuracy of customer pay histories.

This position communicates weekly with the Title Department regarding payoffs to ensure paperwork and information are correct and titles are sent in a timely manner.

To perform the essential functions of this position and the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Organization – the person working in this position needs to be able to follow proven procedures used in the account managing department
  • Subject Matter Knowledge - the person working in this position needs to have basic knowledge in the principles of customer service and collections.
  • Data Entry - the person working in this position must be capable of quickly entering notes and other information into a system of record.
  • Professionalism - the person working in this position must have the ability to convey a positive and professional image to our customers.
  • Active Listening – the person working in this position must be able to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, reflect information back to demonstrate understanding, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.
  • Communication-– the person working in this position must have above average communication skills which demonstrate the ability to build rapport, clearly convey information, and work effectively with others.
  • Negotiation – the person working in this position must have above average negotiation skills which demonstrate the ability to communicate in search of mutual agreement, bargain and discuss and settle the terms of an agreement.
  • Computer Skills - the person working in this position must be familiar with Word and Excel to create and maintain documents and reports; must be able to use a system of record to maintain customer accounts; and, must be comfortable with learning and working with various types of software applications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Account Manager’s job.   • The Account Manager’s job is largely sedentary work requiring the employee to sit for extended periods of time. The person working in this position must be able to spend the majority of her/his day typing information into a system of record, speaking on the telephone, and viewing a computer screen for an extended period of time. S/he may be required to file documents into physical files. On occasion, s/he may also be required to move boxes of files and stoop or bend to file or search for files.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the responsibilities of the Account Manager’s job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the Account Manager will encounter.   • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to office equipment such as telephones, computers and faxes and may on occasion work with file cabinets, files and file boxes. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent with some customer service experience or a combination of both education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
