This key role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods, contributing directly to our mission of delivering exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Canadian Logistics Manager, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting business growth by expanding our logistics capabilities and enhancing our service offerings in collaboration with the Quadra team and external partners. What would be your main responsibilities as a Regional Logistics Manager ?:
Carrier & Third-Party Management
- Oversee the development and administration of partners within your region, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to quality standards
- Cultivate and maintain contractual agreements with each partner, prioritizing safety, service excellence, and cost-efficiency while embodying Quadra's core values
- Strategically harness and optimize Quadra’s transportation network by engaging closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate industry-leading practices and innovative solutions throughout the regional supply chain to support the commercial team in achieving their growth targets.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all Quadra products and services, facilitating the evolution of our carrier network to meet evolving demands
- Spearhead the implementation of policies and procedures aimed at delivering exceptional service to both customers and the commercial team
- Leverage strong analytical skills to conduct negotiations and RFPs with partners, securing favorable agreements while analyzing market and logistics trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance customer value, and increase overall competitiveness
- Develop and maintain relationships with logistics partners and internal stake holders to support commercial growth initiatives by being connected to the market and being an industry expert in your region
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with logistics providers to secure favorable terms and pricing, aligning with the company's growth strategy, while ensuring customer service excellence, in line with Quadra’s core values and strategic vision.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards in logistics operations, fostering a culture of responsibility and sustainability
- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement to senior management, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Analyze logistics data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive business growth.
- Responsible for accurate inventory reporting at partners facilities using technical skills within ERP (E1) to process transactions as required.
- Prepare and conduct presentations to the internal team and to customers/suppliers as required
- Using multiple digital business tools, (Power BI, OTM, and Salesforce) you will track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement, and be required to record call reports, contacts, documents, and analyze data to professionally prepare presentations
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- A professional designation would be considered as an asset (i.e. CCLP, PLOG)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics management (Carrier and Third-Party management), transportation development experience, operational partnership support and growth or in a similar position
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of analyzing complex logistics challenges and implementing effective solutions to support business growth
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, fostering collaboration and alignment with business objectives
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive results
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems, with the ability to leverage technology to drive operational efficiencies and support growth initiatives. (i.e. OTM, JD Edwards, SAP)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions to support business growth objectives
- Expertise in different transportation trucking modes, including dry and liquid bulk, FTL, LTL, and parcel, with a thorough understanding of their respective advantages and challenges
- Experience and expertise in handling hazardous materials and compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations
- Experience with food or pharma grade products and tank farms regulations
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements in logistics operations, with a commitment to compliance and sustainability
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic and ever-evolving business landscape is vital for success in this role.
- Flexibility and agility in navigating changing market conditions and customer needs are key attributes
- Must be fully bilingual (French/English)
- Must have the willingness to engage in field activities that require travel (+/-30%) within the assigned region. This may involve visiting customer and supplier sites, transportation hubs, and logistics facilities to oversee operations, conduct meetings, and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to respond to emergency (if required) outside of normal business hours
