Real Estate Business Development Manager (10am-2pm, M-F) –Remote
Schedule: Part Time 20 hours/week 10am-2pm, 5 day/week (Monday-Friday) preferred
Compensation: $20.00/hour with opportunities for performance bonuses including $2,000 for each deal closed that you found up to $5,000 for larger projects.
John Henry Investments is a small family office located in both Ankeny, IA and Madison, WI specializing in real estate brokerage of senior living properties. We are looking to expand our small team to include a Business Development Manager to lead our office and marketing functions. Employees have the ability to work from home, with occasional onsite visits to properties, and prioritizes a work/life balance for all employees.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, organizing paper and digital files
- Identifying new seller and buyer leads using web-based software
- Call, email or other forms of communication to Sellers and Buyers that would include cold calling new clients
- Marketing efforts on behalf of company including Constant Contact, email or direct mail, and collaborating with external marketing company
- Monitor real estate transactions and maintain spreadsheets of deals in active pipeline
- Occasional site visits to properties (less than 5% of time)
- You will also support the company in the high-level oversight of a rapidly growing real estate portfolio by tracking investments, maintaining records, and helping to fulfill requests from lenders, attorneys, CPAs, and investors
- Available to perform other duties and special projects, as needed
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to start and manage new projects with limited direction
- Ability to execute all duties in a professional manner; maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters with discretion
- Self-starter; highly motivated and resourceful team player able to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as staff and partners
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, protocol, and a commitment to high-quality work
- Proficient computer skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suites
- Strong background using the Internet, email and learning new technology
- Must have reliable Internet in home office if working from home
- Experience with QuickBooks, Constant Contact a plus
