Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Benefits Account Coordinator to their Acentria team in Lakeland, FL.
Job Summary:
The Account Coordinator performs a high volume and wide variety of insurance-related administrative tasks accurately and within required timeframes as directed/assigned by Account Management leadership team. This includes helping the Accounting team with the Open Enrollment process, Implementation Process, and inputting and updating the agency management system (EPIC) and electronic files.
Essential Functions:
- Supports Account Management Team by contacting insurance carriers via telephone or email inquiry to research subscriber claims and eligibility issues; contacting insurance carriers billing dept. to assist clients with billing inquiries
- Works with GWA dedicated carrier service reps / advocates / client managers to resolve client service issues
- Regularly access and navigate numerous insurance carrier websites (agent/broker & employer portals) to: View/verify eligibility, add/change/delete coverage, request ID cards, print temporary cards, view benefits, claims, search for providers, etc.; process online new hire enrollment applications, change requests forms and termination requests; execute online inquiries, changes, quotes, proposals and cancellations.
- Follows-up with subscribers and clients to completion with an email confirmation and document all client contact and inquiries in EPIC
- Supports Account Management Team with Renewal and RFP preparation process: Census – format excel spreadsheet, email to client / prospect to complete with all benefit eligible employee and covered dependents information
- Prepares, formats, and edits proposals / client presentations using appropriate spreadsheet templates like a Benefit Comparison or Rate Comparison
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, time management, highly detailed oriented, comprehension, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal/written communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Exceptional personal character, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to assist others always
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) SharePoint Designer and InfoPath, Adobe Pro with strong technical/computer ability including knowledge of SharePoint Online and Office 365
- Proficient in insurance agency management software (EPIC)
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college is helpful
- At least 1-2+ years of experience working with health insurance companies in the employee benefits industry
